Source WXP 3L Storm Valve – 3-Litre Hydration System
When a larger water supply is required for extended tours or demanding operations, the Source WXP 3L Storm Valve hydration system provides a generous capacity of 3 litres. The complete system comprises a robust reservoir, a 94 cm drinking tube and an angled Storm Valve. It is suitable for larger trekking packs, outdoor backpacks and tactical packs equipped with a hydration system compartment.
The three-layer, co-extruded polyethylene construction combines durability with an easy-care inner surface. Thanks to the Taste-Free System, water retains its natural taste without taking on an unpleasant plastic flavour. The PE film used is free from BPA and phthalates.
Two separate openings make the reservoir particularly easy to fill. The large NC filler cap has a low-profile design and can be operated with one hand. For thorough cleaning, complete draining or adding ice, the hydration bladder can also be opened using the wide Widepac sliding closure. After use, the reservoir can be hung open to allow it to dry thoroughly.

Storm Valve – No Biting Required
The Hi-Flow Storm Valve is pulled out to open and pushed back in to close. Unlike a conventional bite valve, the mouthpiece does not need to be operated with the teeth. Its design provides a drinking experience similar to using a straw and supports a high water flow rate. An integrated shut-off mechanism allows the valve to be closed securely.
The angled valve rotates through 360 degrees, allowing it to be positioned comfortably at the mouth. This design also permits a shorter tube arrangement, reducing excess tubing around the chest. The valve can be disassembled easily for cleaning. When it is not in use, the Dirt-Shield protective cover keeps dust and dirt away from the mouthpiece.
Insulated Drinking Tube with Quick Connections
The drinking tube measures 94 cm and features a woven Cool Weave cover. This covering insulates the tube and blocks UV light, helping to reduce how quickly the water inside the tube warms up.
A QMT Quick Connector is fitted at the end of the tube. This quick-release connection allows compatible filters, the Source UTA and other suitable accessories to be attached at the push of a button. The additional SQC connection at the drinking valve allows the valve to be changed quickly and compatible components to be connected.
Widepac and NC Filler Cap – Flexible Filling Options
The patented Widepac sliding closure provides an exceptionally wide opening. This not only makes filling easier but also simplifies rinsing and draining the reservoir. When closed, the system creates an airtight seal.
For quick refilling, the WXP hydration bladder also features a large NC filler cap. Its low-profile design can be operated with just one hand. These two practical access points provide flexible filling options for different situations.
Technologies for Pure Taste and Easy Care
Taste-Free System
The co-extruded Taste-Free PE film preserves the natural taste of the water and does not transfer a plastic flavour to the liquid. It is free from BPA and phthalates.
Glass-Like Inner Surface
The reservoir is manufactured from 435-micron Glass-Like PE film. Its exceptionally smooth surface makes it more difficult for residue to adhere and supports straightforward care of the hydration system.
Grunge-Guard Technology
The surfaces of the reservoir and drinking tube incorporate Grunge-Guard Technology. This inhibits bacterial growth on the treated surfaces throughout the service life of the system. According to the manufacturer, the technology uses an FDA-approved and EPA-registered antimicrobial agent. Regular and appropriate cleaning is still required.
Cleaning and Drying
When the system has been used exclusively with water, it can be rinsed with clean water and hung open to dry in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. After use with energy drinks, sweetened drinks or other liquids, the manufacturer’s detailed cleaning and care instructions must be followed.
